Grande first teased “yes, and?” earlier this week on social media to an immediate outpouring of fanfare online in anticipation for the new single. Now it’s here, the song reveal itself to be is a dancefloor-friendly house-flavored pop track that interpolates Madonna’s “Vogue,” and finds Grande addressing intrigue about her personal life. “Your business is yours and mine is mine” she sings in the bridge.

Grande first started hinting at the new release several weeks ago when she was photographed in New York City wearing a black crewneck with the single name printed on her chest. Then, Grande uploaded the single art to her official Instagram.

Even before hinting at the new single, though, Grande has been alluding to new music being on the way. On December 7, she posted several pictures and muted videos of her working in the studio. In response, some of her peers have voiced their support. “Oh this bout to eat,” SZA commented. “UN MUTE PLS,” Billie Eilish wrote, while Selena Gomez commented: “FINALLY.”

The Grammy winner’s most recent albums was 2020’s Positions, which debuted atop the Billboard 200 and spawned a Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single with its title track.

During 2023, Grande also celebrated the 10th anniversary of her multi-platinum, chart-topping debut album, Yours Truly, with a new deluxe edition of the record. The reissue features six new live performance tracks for the first time, recorded in London and, fittingly, dubbed “Live From London.” Among them are live versions of “Honeymoon Avenue,” “Daydreamin’,” “Baby I,” “Tattooed Heart,” “Right There (feat. Big Sean),” and “The Way (feat. Mac Miller).”

In other news, Ariana Grande is also set to appear as Glinda the Good Witch in the upcoming film adaptation of Wicked, which is set to arrive in two-parts, with the first premiering this November and the second due in 2025.
