Olivia Vedder Makes Musical Debut On Sean Penn’s ‘Flag Day’ Soundtrack
Other artists set to contribute include Glen Hansard and Cat Power.
The Flag Day soundtrack will feature songs from Eddie Vedder and his daughter Olivia Vedder, Cat Power, and Glen Hansard.
Seattle Surf and Republic Records have announced that the upcoming release of the Flag Day Original Motion Picture Soundtrack will be released the same day as the film, on August 20.

The thirteen-track soundtrack serves as the musical companion to the Cannes Film Festival selected film Flag Day starring and directed by Academy Award winner Sean Penn and starring his daughter Dylan Penn.
The trailer premiered today and includes the first single “My Father’s Daughter” by Olivia Vedder which was written by Glen Hansard and Eddie Vedder. As the daughter of Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder, Olivia makes her musical debut and showcases her powerful and singular voice of her own.
Flag Day stars Dylan Penn, Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Norbert Leo Butz, Dale Dickey, Eddie Marsan, Bailey Noble, Hopper Jack Penn, Katheryn Winnick.
Earlier this month, Eddie Vedder announced the lineup for this year’s edition of his Ohana Encore festival, featuring two headline sets from Pearl Jam. The festival is set to take place in Dana Point, California on October 1-2, and will also feature sets from Beck, Sleater-Kinney, Brandi Carlile and others.
On October 1, Pearl Jam will be joined by Beck, Lord Huron, White Reaper and more, with Sleater-Kinney, Brandi Carlile, Margo Price, and others playing the following night.
Tickets are on sale now. A portion of the proceeds from tickets will go to the San Onofre Parks Foundation and the Doheny State Beach Foundation.
Ohana Encore is a special additional festival falling on the weekend after Vedder’s traditional Ohana Festival, which will be headlined by Kings Of Leon alongside Pearl Jam and Vedder himself. Other acts set to perform include Maggie Rogers, Sharon Van Etten, and Mac DeMarco.
Following the Ohana shows, Pearl Jam will embark on a delayed European tour in June and July 2022 including two dates at BST Hyde Park in London.
