Kacey Musgraves, Beck And Foo Fighters To Headline Amazon’s Intersect Festival
Headliners Kacey Musgraves, Beck and Foo Fighters will join additional supporting acts, Snail Mail, Japanese Breakfast, Anderson Paak, Leon Bridges, Chvrches, Brandi Carlisle, Jamie xx and more.
After testing the waters with their successful Prime Day Concert, Amazon is going all in with the announcement of their music, arts and tech festival called Intersect.
On Wednesday, the tech company announced the full line-up for Intersect, its music and technology festival taking place on the 6th and 7th of December in Las Vegas, through its subsidiary Amazon Web Services.
Headliners Kacey Musgraves, Beck and Foo Fighters will join additional supporting acts, Snail Mail, Japanese Breakfast, Anderson Paak, Leon Bridges, Chvrches, Brandi Carlisle, Jamie xx and more.
The two-day festival will also feature a video arcade, 1 million square feet of games and activities, a post-apocalyptic dodgeball stadium, a “mega-sized ball pit with over 200,000 balls and a light show involving “500 Intel drones programmed and flown by a female-led team in a tribute to women’s contributions to advancements in technology,” promises the official press release.
Musgraves will also be involved with the drones display, according to the official poster.
The concert, which is presented by AWS and produced by Production Club on the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, will also feature “next-generation visual artists” and a six-story video tower called the “Monolith”.
“Music has been an uncanny unifier of people over the years,” says Ariel Kelman, VP of Worldwide Marketing at AWS, in a statement. “We’ve built a pretty amazing and unusual live music experience at our annual AWS conference that attendees have loved; and with Intersect, we’re excited to extend this unique event into a two-day, public music festival.”
Along with their star-studded Prime Day Concert this past year, Amazon also brought The Head and the Heart to Seattle to play atop the Pike Place Market this past summer.
