Nile Rodgers & Chic, and Gwen Stefani have been confirmed for London’s BST Hyde Park 2020. They will be performing on Sunday, 12 July with Duran Duran, who have been announced as the event’s final headliners for 2020. More artists will be announced shortly.

The annual outdoor concert series will be held on two weekends in July, 3-5 and 10-12, with Post Malone, Little Mix, Kendrick Lamar, Pearl Jam and Taylor Swift among the headliners.

The gig will mark Duran Duran’s first London show in five years (and their only gig in the capital in 2020), and will also be staged as they celebrate four decades together — their self-titled debut album will reach its 40th anniversary next year. Hyde Park adds to the band’s other UK and Ireland outdoor commitments at St Anne’s Park in Dublin and the Isle Of Wight Festival.

Speaking about their BST booking, the band’s frontman Simon Le Bon said: “I look at film of The Rolling Stones at Hyde Park back in ’69 and think of all the great acts who’ve performed there since. It really is an honour to add the name Duran Duran to that roster, and to play our music at one of the world’s greatest inner city locations at BST Hyde Park.”

Tickets for the Duran Duran, Nile Rodgers and Gwen Stefani date of BST Hyde Park 2020 will go on general sale this Friday, 13 March at 10AM. A pre-sale for American Express Card members will take place from 10AM today, 10 March, until 9:30AM on Friday. Visit BST’s official website for further information.

Last summer, Simon Le Bon’s band played a special show at the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first Moon landing. The concert took place at the rocket park in Kennedy Space Centre in Florida and saw the band playing a selection of their space-themed hits including ‘Planet Earth’, ‘New Moon On Monday’ and ‘Astronaut’.
