Music lovers and Queen superfans worldwide are set to rejoice as Carnaby Street’s newest addition ‘Queen The Greatest’ store launched the first of four limited edition 7” Vinyl releases on Friday, 8 October at 11am (BST).

With only 1,000 copies in circulation – 500 available instore and 500 online – the tracks on each of the records have been personally chosen by Brian May and Roger Taylor with the A-side representing a hit song and the B-side a deep cut written by each individual band member.

Launched to celebrate five decades of music, this experiential pop-up store was created in partnership with Bravado, Universal Music Group’s merchandise and brand management company. ‘Queen The Greatest’ is designed to take you on a visually immersive journey through one of the world’s most iconic bands’ contributions to music, culture, and fashion.

The shop features limited edition music releases, new product drops and exciting fashion collaborations, with each month of its three month stint having a different theme; Music, Art & Design and Magic.

Music month now sees four limited edition vinyls exclusively available in the Queen The Greatest Store and online via the band’s official webstore. Each one of these collectable editions will retail at £13.00

Kicking off the first of the 7” releases, Roger Taylor’s vinyl was released last Friday, October 8. Vibrant blue in color, with a matching vibrant sleeve and portrait of Taylor, iconic tracks “Radio Ga Ga” and “I’m In Love With My Car” make up the ‘A’ and ‘B’ side of the vinyl.Individually numbered and featuring Taylor’s signature on the sleeve and record, this limited edition poses as the ultimate collector’s item.

Freddie Mercury 7” Vinyl: 15th October 2021

Following Taylor’s 7” is Freddie Mercury’s vinyl. This yellow colored release poses as the ultimate collector’s item for Freddie superfans. Featuring two of his most iconic songs, “Somebody To Love (A-Side)” and “You Take My Breath Away”, in Freddie’s favourite color, yellow.

John Deacon 7” Vinyl: 22nd October 2021

The next limited edition vinyl features iconic power ballad “Spread Your Wings” and “One Year Of Love”, both written by bassist John Deacon. Continuing the theme of bold, block colors, the second release utilizes a vivid green vinyl with accompanying sleeve.

Brian May 7” Vinyl: 29th October 2021

The fourth and final drop drawing Music month to a close is the Brian May vinyl. Characterized by its punchy red shade, the final week of October marks the launch of May’s 7”. Featuring iconic May classics, “We Will Rock You” and “Sail Away Sweet Sister”, the record – like the rest of the series – is individually numbered and emblazoned with May’s signature.

Queen’s ‘The Greatest’ Pop Up Store, at 57 Carnaby Street, London, W1, is open from Monday – Saturday: 11am – 7pm / Sunday: 12pm – 6pm.
