The Hall’s upcoming 51st ceremony is being held belatedly, picking up where it left off with the show it would have presented in 2020, according to Hall CEO a a former top executive at Warner Music.

Other inductees include the Isley Brothers, Steve Miller, Lana Del Rey/Stevie Nicks collaborator Rick Nowels, and Motown veteran William “Mickey” Stevenson.

Songwriter and ASCAP president Paul Williams will receive the prestigious Johnny Mercer Award, Lil Nas X will be honored with the Hal David Starlight Award for promising young songwriters and Universal Music Publishing chairman-CEO Jody Gerson will receive the Abe Olman Publisher Award.

“The thought that we have created an event that brings out such strong feelings, and that everyone is looking forward to as a catharsis after being cooped up during COVID, is incredibly gratifying,” Moran told Variety. “It is like a family reunion, and when we discussed the possibility of changing the venue or the format of the show, I realized that people want the familiarity and the comfort of returning home as they remember it.”

It’s been an exciting time for Pharrell, who recently announced that his Something in the Water will return this year, with sets from Pharrell and Phriends, Lil Baby, Jon Batiste, and more.

Produced by Redrock Entertainment and Live Nation, the festival will take place in Washington, DC on Juneteenth weekend (June 17 – 19). SITW will celebrate art, culture and music with performances by 6LACK, Adekunle Gold, Ashanti & Ja Rule, Ashe, Baby Tate, Baird, BIA, Blxst, Calvin Harris, Chloe x Halle, Dave Matthews Band, Davido, Denzel Curry, DJ Domo, Dominic Fike, Dreamer Isioma, Duckwrth, EARTHGANG, Emotional Oranges, ericdoa, Gracie Abrams, Hope Tala, Jean Dawson, Jeremy Zucker, JID, Lakeyah, Lil Uzi Vert, Lucky Daye, María Isabel, Mariah the Scientist, Moneybagg Yo, Montell Fish, Ogi, Omar Apollo, Ozuna, Paris Texas, Pusha T, Q, Quinn XCII, Rae Sremmurd, Raveena, Rei Ami, Roddy Ricch, ROLE MODEL, Run The Jewels, Saba, Sabrina Claudio, Skepta, Skiifall, Skillibeng, slowthai, Snoh Aalegra, Syd, Teyana Taylor, Thundercat, T.I., Tierra Whack, Tobe Nwigwe, Tokischa, Tyler, The Creator, Usher, YVNGXCHRIS, and more.
