Black Pumas, Ziggy Marley, and Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds are also slated to perform at the inaugural Connecticut festival.
The Lumineers, Stevie Nicks, and Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds are among the headliners for the brand new Sound On Sound Music Festival, which will take place September 24 and 25 in Bridgeport, CT. Produced by the team behind New York’s Governor’s Ball, Sound On Sound boasts no overlapping set times — providing fans with plenty of opportunities to catch their favorite artists.
Sound On Sound’s lineup will also include such acts as Black Pumas, Brandi Carlile, The National, Father John Misty, and Gary Clark Jr. Also appearing are The Head and the Heart, Caamp, Band of Horses, Jenny Lewis, Spin Doctors, and reggae star Ziggy Marley, who kicked off the year celebrating what would have been his father, Bob Marley’s, 77th birthday.
General admission tickets for Sound On Sound music festival will be available starting February 18 at 12pm ET. The event is also offering upgrades for VIP and Platinum experiences, with more information found on their website here.
Headlining act The Lumineers, meanwhile, recently announced an extensive tour in support of their acclaimed new album, Brightside. The tour kicks off on May 18 at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL, before ending in September at the festival for the final date. Along the way, the band will be joined by a variety of artists, including Caamp (May 18-June 17, September 3), Gregory Alan Isakov (July 12-August 16), Daniel Rodriguez (July 12-August 16), and James Bay (August 17-September 6). Brightside has seen continued success for the band, after it topped Billboard’s charts for Top Rock Albums and Top Alternative Albums. In a statement about the album, singer Wesley Schultz said, “Hope is a risky thing. It doesn’t ignore the danger, but rather it believes in the face of danger. Brightside is an album that hopes, even against the sadness and staggering odds.”
