Creedence Clearwater’s Vinyl Revival
From today, 9 March 2015, all seven Creedence Clearwater Revival LPs will be available on 180gm heavyweight vinyl. The albums will also include download vouchers, and you can order them from our deluxe audio store here.
The hugely influential and massively popular band from El Cerrito, California had an incredible run of original album releases during their relatively short four-year recording span. The albums are all available for the first time in many years in the format in which they were first heard. It includes CCR’s self-titled 1968 debut; their three 1969 releases ‘Bayou Country,’ ‘Green River’ and ‘Willy and the Poorboys’; 1970’s ‘Cosmo’s Factory’ and ‘Pendulum’; and the 1972 release ‘Mardi Gras.’
Both ‘Green River’ and ‘Cosmo’s Factory’ were American No. 1s, with certifications for US shipments of four and nine million copies respectively. The band’s first six albums all went at least platinum in their home country, and the seventh gold; by their RIAA certifications, they account for total shipments in the US alone of 13.5 units.
