Big Hit Music have confirmed that BTS are returning with a new album in June. The superstar pop group first teased news of the album at the end of their final Permission To Dance On Stage LA residency show on Saturday (April 16) with a video that featured the words: “We are bulletproof” and a date of June 10.

Since that first reveal, Big Hit Music has confirmed news of BTS’ new album on socials with the same video teaser. According to Consequence, Big Hit also shared a statement on Weverse that reads: “Hello. This is Big Hit Music. BTS will be back with another new album on June 10, 2022. Details on the new album will be provided in a separate notice at a later date. We look forward to your love and support for BTS’s new album. Thank you.”

BTS recently held a special photo exhibition as part of the extensive pop-up event in Las Vegas when they took over the city for its Permission To Dance stadium shows.

The seven-piece performed four sold-out concerts at the Nevada city’s Allegiant Stadium from April 8-9 and 15-16.

Beginning on April 5, the city’s Area15 venue played host to a free pop-up space with exclusive merch, immersive sets, and curated installations, as well as a ticketed photo exhibition, Behind The Stage: Permission To Dance.

The Permission To Dance On Stage: Las Vegas concerts followed three nights at Seoul’s Jamsil Olympic Stadium in March and four shows at LA’s SoFi Stadium last November and December.

In March, “Butter” continued its dominance on the Billboard charts, extending its record at the top of the Hot Trending Songs list to 15 consecutive weeks. The song has been a top performer since its release in May 2021, when it broke Spotify’s first-day streaming record with 11 million streams globally. The official music video for “Butter” also marked the band’s biggest YouTube hit, setting an all-time record on the platform with 108.2 million views in 24 hours.
