Singles Day sounded better than normal this year thanks to the release of 22 new vinyl singles from Capitol Records. The Chinese holiday, celebrated annually on Nov. 11, is billed as the world’s biggest shopping event. To mark the occasion, Capitol released new pressings by the Cure, Fletcher, and Good Neighbors plus vault titles from Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, the Beatles, ABBA, Katy Perry, and more. The singles are available on 7” vinyl via shop.capitolmusic.com while supplies last.

New pressings for the festivities include the Cure’s “A Fragile Thing,” which appears in its RS24 Mix on the A-side, back by the RS24 remix of the same track. Fletcher’s ”Doing Better” / “Better Version” and Good Neighbors’ Good Neighbors’ “Home” / “Keep It Up” have also been pressed up for the occasion. Fletcher’s “Eras Of Us” single is one of the vault offerings as well.

Among the vault titles are a quartet of ABBA singles including “Happy New Year” / “Felicidad” on transparent vinyl with blue splatter, a “Waterloo” / “Watch Out” picture disc, the “Super Trouper” 7” Singles boxset (which features three singles on colored vinyl), and the limited edition Voulez-Vous – The Singles box set on limited edition numbered, colored vinyl.

The Beatles also have two 7”s for sale through the promotion: the recently released final single “Now And Then” backed “Love Me Do” (1962 Single Version / 2023 mix) and a special edition super deluxe 4xLP + 7” box set version of Revolver. Ringo Starr’s three-disc 45 RPM Singles Collection box set is also up for sale.

Two Katy Perry singles are available, including “Woman’s World” backed by the “Woman’s World” instrumental (on orange translucent vinyl) and “Daisies” backed by the “Daisies” instrumental. A Troye Sivan twofer is also on the docket: the “Rush” Glory Edition (with the main song backed by its Big Freedia Remix) and the “One Of Your Girls” picture disc.

There are also a pair of holiday offerings: Nat King Cole’s “The Christmas Song” / “Deck The Halls” on opaque baby blue vinyl and Frank Sinatra’s “Jingle Bells” / “Silent Night” on evergreen vinyl. The rest of the 22 singles: Catfish and the Bottlemen’s “Showtime” on white vinyl, Corinne Bailey Rae’s “Been To The Moon” backed by its Stefan Ponce Remix, Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved” backed by the “1 Mic 1 Take” edition of the song live from Capitol Studios, Lil Yachty’s “Flex Up” featuring Future and Playboi Carti, and Maggie Rogers’ “Love You For A Long Time,” which is backed by a version of the same track featuring Sam Gendel and Sam Wilkes.
