MCA Nashville country music notable Jordan Davis has released the video for his rising new single ‘Slow Dance In A Parking Lot.’ The track is currently climbing the top 40 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, moving 39-37 for the week of 20 July.

When it was released, ‘Slow Dance In A Parking Lot’ debuted as the most-added song of the week at country radio. It follows Davis’ huge success with ‘Singles You Up,’ which topped the airplay chart, and ‘Take It From Me,’ which reached No. 2. All three songs are on his debut album Home State, which was released in March 2018 and now has streams of more than 500 million.

The video saw Davis collaborating with director Patrick Tracy to tell the story of a young boy’s passage through various moments in his life that all happen to take place in a parking lot. We see him playing hockey with friends and dancing with his girlfriend after a football game.

“The parking lot has served as a familiar environment for many pivotal moments throughout one’s life,” says Tracy. “The descriptive lyrical content of ‘Slow Dance In A Parking Lot’ helps paint the picture of one such moment.”

Davis adds: “I’m really excited for this music video to come out. Patrick did a really great job with the script and I think it really adds another element to how special this song is.”

The artist, who hails from Shreveport, Louisiana, was named Billboard’s Top New Country Artist of 2018. Earlier this year, he won Best New Country Artist at the iHeartRadio Music Awards and also received MusicRow’s Breakout Artist of the Year Award. He’s just finished guesting with Old Dominion on their Make It Sweet Tour and is now on the road with Rascal Flatts for the Summer Playlist Tour. Dates and details are at his website.
