The classic rock-themed On The Blue Cruise will return early in 2023, hosted by the Moody Blues’ Justin Hayward. It will feature an extraordinary line-up of his fellow giants of the genre, including Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees the Zombies and Dave Mason.
The full-ship Norwegian Pearl charter cruise will take place over five days and five nights between January 28 and February 2 next year, sailing from Miami and visiting Harvest Caye, Belize and Costa Maya, Mexico. The inaugural On The Blue Cruise took place pre-pandemic in 2019 and was a complete sellout, following the success of the Moody Blues Cruise between 2014 and 2018. The Norwegian Pearl has undergone an extensive dry dock modernization since the last cruise.
Hayward, who earlier this week confirmed a UK tour for September 2022, will feature solo material alongside “deep cuts” from the Moody Blues’ catalog, and will also be taking part in an intimate Q&A with fans. Along with the Zombies and Mason, the cruise will also star Alan Parsons, the Little River Band, Starship featuring Mickey Thomas, the Lovin’ Spoonful, Renaissance, Orleans, Firefall, the Babys, Lighthouse, the Pat Travers Band, the Skatalites, Randy Hansen, Young Dubliners, From A. To Beatles, Tom Toomey, Alan Hewitt & One Nation, Julie Ragins’ Pear Duo, Mellow Yellow, Top of the World (A Carpenters Tribute), Marbin, and Fernando Perdomo & the Out To Sea Band. More artists will be added in due course and announced via Facebook.
Other activities will include artist photo experiences, themed nights, Mellow Yellow Dance Party, and Painting with Rock Stars. Cabin prices start at $1,299.00 per person for double occupancy in standard staterooms, not including mandatory taxes and fee supplement or fuel surcharge). Prices for VIP staterooms begin at £2699 per person for two guests, and rise to Haven Deluxe Owner’s Suite with gold VIP at $6599. For booking and more information, go to OnTheBlueCruise.com.
