Lady A’s 2019 album Ocean will be released in an expanded version this Friday (20). The Ocean Deluxe Edition marks the first anniversary of the original set, their eighth studio set, which included the trio’s country airplay No.1 “What If I Never Get Over You.”
The new version boasts six additional tracks, among them “Let It Be Love (At Home Version)” and a live rendition of the album’s No.1 recorded at Nashville venue 3rd and Lindsley. Also included is the new song “Heroes,” featuring fellow chart-topper Thomas Rhett, along with the group’s current hit “Champagne Night,” as featured in NBC’s primetime songwriting competition series Songland. Additionally, there’s the Tiki Bar Version of that number, as produced by the group’s Dave Haywood.
“It’s crazy to think this album is only turning a year old because it has already been part of so many moments for us as a band,” said Lady A’s Hillary Scott. “We wanted to share our appreciation with our fans with a couple of never released tracks we thought they might like and put a spin on some others that have been fun to play around with during quarantine.”
The release follows swiftly on the October 30 release of the newly-expanded, 16-song edition of Lady A’s gold-selling holiday album of 2012, On This Winter’s Night. That new version includes their covers of Paul McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmastime” and the Beach Boys’ “Little Saint Nick.”
As reported, Lady A will also be among the many guest performers taking part in the annual holiday special CMA Country Christmas, which airs on November 30 on ABC. The show will be hosted by Rhett and his wife Lauren Akins, and will also feature performances by Darius Rucker and Lindsey Stirling, Dan + Shay, Florida Georgia Line, Gabby Barrett, Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town, Tim McGraw, and Rhett himself.
