Drake is making Billboard chart history, yet again, as the first artist ever to have three singles debut simultaneously at the No.1, 2, and 3 spots on the Hot 100. All three songs (“What’s Next,” “Wants And Needs” with Lil Baby, and “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” with Rick Ross) appear on his new EP, Scary Hours 2.

The Canadian rapper scored his sixth No.1 single as a lead artist – and his eighth chart-topping single overall – with “What’s Next,” marking his fourth No.1 debut on the US pop chart. Just behind it is “Wants and Needs” with Lil Baby, while the Rick Ross collaboration “Lemon Pepper Freestyle,” follows at No.3. The latter two artists also have plenty to celebrate, as they have each scored their highest positions to-date on the Hot 100, with these releases.

Named one of the most-streamed artists of the 2010s, Drake is no stranger to breaking Billboard records. As recently as November, Drake scored the most No.1 hits on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart – surpassing Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and Janet Jackson – with “Laugh Now Cry Later” feat. Lil Durk.

The artist has also spent more time than any other artist on the Hot 100, and holds the record for the most singles ever on the chart, as well as the most simultaneously-charting songs in a single week. Additionally, the Grammy-winning artist has scored the most No.1 singles on the Hot Rap Songs chart, the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, and the Rhythmic charts.

Drake released Scary Hours 2 on March 4, as fans await his forthcoming album, Certified Lover Boy. The album, which includes “Laugh Now Cry Later” as its lead single, was initially scheduled to drop in January but was postponed as the artist recovered from knee surgery. A new release date has not yet been confirmed.
