Two different bands. One from 1969 to 1972 and one from 1973 to 1976. Think I like the bluesy rock first one best after all these years.

You can’t count inside looking out they made that their OWN

    • Kyle

      October 13, 2017 at 6:46 pm

Most of this is the Bubble Gum side of them that made the pop charts to create more revenue. Their remakes of songs where not that worthy of their Real music. Their real music that made them what they were was their first three incredible albums. Too many songs to list with the second album being the best by a sliver along with the first being really incredible as number two. Now with that said American Band truly was American and Foot Stompin Music was a great boogie tune. No doubt a foot stomping song.

      • Carlos Junqueira

        October 13, 2017 at 11:47 pm

Kyle I agree. But I think the first five albums were incredible albums.

Nobody mentions that their first live album was the absolute bible of stadium rock. Every title on that masterpiece is my list. Still listen to that record in my car… it’s the only place I can play it loud enough to get the groove

    • David Galloway

      October 31, 2017 at 8:52 pm

Bill, couldn’t agree more! That Live Album is how I was introduced to GFR back in November 1970 when it came out. All of those songs are THe Best and yes the Blueprint for a Live Album ( KISS, Peter Frampton etc) . Meant to be played LOUD! Then the others fall in line like Closer to Home/ I’m Your Captain, Foot Stomping Music, We’re an American Band, Shinin On, Black Licorice, The Railroad, Flight if The Phoenix, Aimless Lady, Gimme Shelter and Loneliness! ,
