Beck, Robyn And The Lonely Island Share New Lego Movie Song
Beck teams up with Robyn and the Lonely Island crew for a new track ‘Super Cool’ for The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part soundtrack.
Beck continues his soundtrack hot streak, this time teaming up with Robyn and the Lonely Island crew for a new track ‘Super Cool’ for The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part soundtrack.
The track was recorded exclusively for the film’s end credits and will appear on the soundtrack that’s out 7 February, while the film comes out a day later on 8 February.
Along with ‘Super Cool’, the soundtrack will also include contributions from indie duo Matt and Kim, Dillon Francis and T-Pain, among others.
Similar to the breakout track of the first Lego film, ‘Everything Is Awesome’, the new collaborative track features the same upbeat, infectious chorus.
This much-anticipated sequel follows the 2014 box office smash that started the film franchise: The Lego Movie. The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part features much of the same cast including Will Arnett and Elizabeth Banks, along with the new additions Tiffany Haddish, Chris Pratt and Alison Brie.
Earlier last month, Beck shared his contribution to the soundtrack album, Music Inspired by the Film Roma, a symphonic cover of the 1982 synth-pop single by UK outfit Colourbox, ‘Tarantula’. He later performed the moving cover on The Late Late Show With James Corden along with the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
Beck is still touring in support of his 2017 critically acclaimed album Colors and is set to perform at the Shaky Knees Music Festival in Atlanta, Georgia on 3-5 May.
