Here’s the new video for ‘Work Song’ by Irish singer-songwriter Hozier, who is following his spectacular breakthrough year of 2015 with a current sellout UK tour and the release of this single, which has an impact date of 26 February.

Hozier 300Hozier’s self-titled album has now sold two million copies worldwide, and climbs 19-13 this week, its 66th on the chart. The album went both silver and gold a year ago and was certified platinum by the BPI last July.

Hozier was the 12th biggest-selling artist album of 2015 in the UK, and its signature hit ‘Take Me To Church’ — recently named Song of the Year at the BBC Music Awards — was the third-bestselling single. The track is double platinum in the UK and the follow-up single, ‘Someone New,’ was certified silver last June.

Last year also saw Hozier win an Ivor Novello Award, two Billboard Awards, a VH1 Artist of the Year Award and Grammy and BRIT nominations. During the course of a whirlwind year, he also performed at Glastonbury, Longitude  and Red Rocks. He played the fifth sellout show of the current tour last night (Tuesday) at the Liverpool Empire and resumes the itinerary on 29 January, with the first of three consecutive nights at the Brixton Academy.
