Smashing Pumpkins Chart New Tour Of Europe And UK
The band will spend a month overseas following news of the long-awaited ‘Machina’ box set.

The Smashing Pumpkins are heading overseas for the summer. The band’s seemingly nonstop touring schedule will take them through Europe and the UK from late July to late August, a run of mostly headline dates with some festivals sprinkled in.
Things get underway July 27 with a visit to Bulgaria’s Hills Of Rock festival. From there, Billy Corgan and the band will continue through Italy, Germany, Belgium, the UK, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland, playing 17 dates in total.
The transatlantic jaunt follows Corgan’s recent tour with the new ensemble Billy Corgan And The Machines Of God, on which he performed songs from Machina and Machina II, Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness, and the recent Smashing Pumpkins release Aghori Mhori Mei.
Machina—the final Smashing Pumpkins album released before the band’s initial breakup in 2000—has been on the brain lately for Corgan. He’s been preparing the long-awaited Machina box set, which will finally see release Aug. 22 in honor of the album’s 25th anniversary.
The set includes 48 songs from Machina/The Machines Of God, Machina II/The Friends & Enemies Of Modern Music, and the accompanying series of EPs, as well as 32 previously unreleased bonus tracks—80 tracks in full. Though various permutations of the Machina reissue will be available—including on CD, a 2LP vinyl release, and a limited-edition color 2LP in corona red/black—the full 80-song box set will only be available through Corgan’s tea shop Madame Zuzu’s.

“It’s taken some 25 years to finally release MACHINA as we in the band had hoped it would be, and with MadameZuzus.com as the only place one can get this expansive, 80-song collection, I personally could not be more proud,” Corgan said in a press release. “MACHINA was meant as our swan song, and it was truly a labor of love to bring it to fruition, however broken we were back then. But with the band about to embark on a global tour in 2025, as well as my solo tour with The Machines of God, this set stands as a celebration and testament of will, for the songs alone have helped James, Jimmy, and I keep the faith.”
