Aerosmith will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on 14 February, according to an announcement by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, 6 February. The legendary rockers will be recognized under the recording category, with the Walk of Fame’s 2,657th star. The ceremony will take place at 11:30 a.m., at 6752 Hollywood Boulevard in front of Musicians Institute.
President and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Rana Ghadban, will emcee the event, that will also be live streamed for fans at home exclusively via the Hollywood Walk Of Fame official website.
“Finally! We have been waiting a long time to honor Aerosmith with their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” said Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “Aerosmith are one of the greatest rock bands in the world and we expect many fans will be ‘Crazy’ excited to see them honored!”
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers are fresh off a Las Vegas residency announcement, Aerosmith: Deuces Are Wild, kicking off Saturday, April 6, at the Park Theater at the new Park MGM resort.
As uDiscover Music previously reported, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has also announced the return of his Grammy Awards Viewing Party to benefit Janie’s Fund, presented by Live Nation, on Sunday, 10 February at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood.
Hosted by Jane Lynch, the exclusive gala promises to be an unforgettable night building off of the inaugural celebration in 2018 and it will feature a performance by Aerosmith. The gala will toast music’s biggest night with a VIP cocktail reception and dinner, live viewing of the 61st Annual Grammy Awards telecast, and live auction to support Janie’s Fund, Tyler’s philanthropic initiative that provides “a big voice for abused girls.”
Over their decades-long career, Aerosmith has accumulated four Grammys, eight American Music Awards, six Billboard Music Awards and 12 MTV Video Music Awards.
