Lord Huron, Black Pumas, And Brittany Howard Are Set To Perform At My Morning Jacket’s One Big Holiday
The festival is set for March 2 through 5 in Riviera Maya.
My Morning Jacket revives their One Big Holiday destination event in 2022 with Lord Huron, Brittany Howard, and Black Pumas among the acts joining them on the lineup. Moon Palace Cancún in Riviera Maya, Mexico will host My Morning Jacket’s One Big Holiday March 2 – 5, 2022.
Sharon Van Etten, Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Steel Pulse round out the initial lineup announcement. Look for additional artists, pool party and late night sets to be announced soon.
My Morning Jacket, who will play three shows on the beach over the course of the event, partnered with CID Presents and On Location for the first One Big Holiday since 2018. All-inclusive packages are available with four, five or six nights accommodations at Moon Palace Cancún. The opulent resort is located just south of Cancún. Guests are welcome to reserve a room at Moon Palace’s Sunrise, Nizuc, Golf Course, or The Grand properties. Each section of the resort boasts a variety of restaurants, multiple bars, manicured pools and daily activities, all included in the package price.
Lord Huron are riding high after their new album, Long Lost, debuted at No.1 on Billboard’s Americana/Folk Albums chart, following a raft of rapturous press reviews. Critics have greeted Long Lost, the Los Angeles-based band’s fourth studio album, as a career highlight. Roisin O’Connor’s five-star review in The Independent says the album “is what you’d get if you set Fleet Foxes against the dusty plains and rugged vistas of the Wild West. It’s an album steeped in vintage-sounding reverb; built on meticulously crafted arrangements and masterful, elegiac storytelling.”
It’s been an exciting time for Black Pumas, who have seen their stock skyrocket ever since they offered a show-stopping performance at the 2021 GRAMMYs. Austin’s hottest group recently announced an extensive 2021-2022 tour across the U.S., the UK, and Europe. The tour includes four nights at NYC’s Brooklyn Steel in September―three already sold-out and the fourth going fast―Los Angeles’ Performance Venue at Hollywood Park, and multiple shows in Chicago, Seattle, Portland, and Denver.
Brittany Howard has also stayed busy of late, covering of Jackie Wilson’s “(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher & Higher” exclusively as an Amazon Original back in March. The classic tune is a live favorite of Howard’s – performed most notably for Jools Holland’s 2020 New Year’s Eve special.
Previous One Big Holiday attendees will be able to participate in a limited pre-sale on Tuesday, June 22 at 1 p.m. ET. Packages then go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, June 23 at 1 p.m. ET.
