St. Vincent has added three new dates to her upcoming UK tour in support of her latest album Daddy’s Home.

The critically-acclaimed, Grammy-winning artist will now kick off her run in the UK at Oxford’s O2 Academy on June 22. After a previously announced stop at Glastonbury Festival, her tour will continue with a new show at Manchester Academy on June 25.

She will also appear at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill-on-Sea on June 30 at the end of the UK leg of the dates, before moving on to Europe to perform at festivals including Denmark’s Roskilde and Spain’s Mad Cool.

St. Vincent will be supported by Ceyla AB in Oxford and Manchester, and Big Joanie in Bexhill-on-Sea. Big Joanie will also open at the previously confirmed Edinburgh and London shows, while Snail Mail will open in Dublin.

As well as being the live European debut of material from Daddy’s Home, this will be St. Vincent’s first UK outing with The Down And Out Downtown Band. Tickets for the new sale are available on presale now and will go on general sale at 10am on Thursday (April 14).

Daddy’s Home is the seventh studio release from St. Vincent and was inspired by her father’s release from prison. This new era sees the singer-songwriter create a hyper-stylized world as she uses stories of being “down and out in New York” as a medium to express a yearning for humanity in a consumer-orientated society.

Last year, the artist shared the single “The Melting Of The Sun,” which demonstrated Clark’s tenacity for rich and poetic storytelling and serves as a mantra to keep going. The song also paid lyrical homage to a cast of St. Vincent inspirations – musical, personal, and other – from “Saint Joni” who “ain’t no phony” to “Proud Nina” who “got subpoenaed singing “Mississippi good goddamn.”

Speaking to The Guardian ahead of the release of Daddy’s Home, St. Vincent said: “I was watching the various mechanisms of power crumble, or at least get rocks thrown at them. And it seems like people have to make some Faustian bargain between dignity and survival. Everybody just wants to be loved. We want to have a little shelter and a little food. But we’re caught in a system that makes that hard for most people.”
