The 20th Anniversary IVC Edition of the album from Chris Cornell, Tom Morello, Brad Wilk, and Tim Commerford will be released with a 2LP gatefold jacket for the first time. The jacket is printed with a matte finish and a chrome foil log. Additionally, lacquers for the album were cut by Levi Seitz at Black Belt Mastering using 96kHz – 24bit flat masters of the album.

The project is now pressed to a special edition “Silver Wave” vinyl variant and features five bonus tracks arriving on vinyl for the first time.

Other bonus features include four lithographs including photos by Sean Ricigliano. This edition from the album produced by Rick Rubin and mixed by Brendan O’Brian is limited to 3,000 copies globally and each album comes individually numbered.

Audioslave marked a dream come true for rock fans across the world: Three-quarters of rap-rock titans Rage Against the Machine backing Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell’s vocals.

Audioslave’s self-titled debut sold four million copies and picked up a Grammy nomination, but their 2005 follow-up found the supergroup creating a generation-defining album, led by singles and deep cuts alike.

Singles include the iconic “Be Yourself” and “Doesn’t Remind Me,” plus the title track. The album, one of the decade’s signature rock records, debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 and went platinum.

The album was also, somewhat unexpectedly, important for its role in global politics. The band made history before the release of Out Of Exile when they became the first American rock group to play in Cuba, performing a free show for an estimated 70,000 people in Havana on May 6, 2005. The band emphasized the universal connection between musicians, regularly interacting with their contemporaries in Cuba. Morello later said about the performance, “We single-handedly demolished the rock’n’roll blockade against Cuba – what a thrill it was to pour every ounce of our soul power into the performance.”
