Yusuf/Cat Stevens has announced a definitive and first ever career-spanning collection. On the Road to Findout: Greatest Hits presents highlights from a nearly 60-year recording career with songs from his debut 1967 LP, Matthew & Son, through to his 2023 King Of A Land album. The collection features timeless tracks like “Where Do The Children Play?,” “Wild World,” “Moonshadow,” “The Hurt,” and “Father And Son.” Now available for pre-order, the collection is out September 5.

Yusuf/Cat Stevens says: “I’m happy that, at last, a collection of recordings includes some of the songs I wrote after my evolvement, ‘Take The World Apart’ and ‘Heaven / Where True Love Goes’ for instance, reflecting the peace and happiness which has since changed my life. Thank you one and all. It’s really humbling to think about how many souls have been riding on this journey with me.”

Featuring new notes by Yusuf himself, On The Road To Findout: Greatest Hits will be released globally across multiple formats, including 1CD and 2LP 140g formats, with a deeper dive edition available on 2CD and 4LP 140g, all featuring newly remastered audio.

On The Road To Findout: Greatest Hits will be released ahead of Yusuf’s long-awaited memoir Cat On The Road To Findout, which goes on sale in the UK in September. The new autobiography is an extraordinary soul-baring journey through the triumphs, trials, and transcendental quest of one of music’s most enigmatic figures of our time. Yusuf/Stevens’ career began in the 1960s with chart-topping pop hits like “Matthew and Son” and “The First Cut is the Deepest.” His early career was interrupted by a near-fatal battle with tuberculosis and he emerged on the other side with a new understanding and desire for peace. He was a prolific singer-songwriter in the ’70s, releasing beloved albums like Tea for the Tillerman, Catch Bull At Four, and more. Following a near-drowning experience in 1975, he converted to Islan, changed his name to Yusuf Islam, and dedicated his life to God, family, and humanitarian work.

Yusuf will also embark on a UK book tour titled Cat On The Road To Findout – An Evening Of Tales, Tunes And Other Mysteries. The book tour is his first UK tour for nine years and will take in seven shows at intimate theatres across the country, beginning on 6th September at Cambridge’s Corn Exchange, and closing on 22nd September at Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall.

On July 11, Yusuf will appear at BST Hyde Park, London as a special guest to Neil Young. Yusuf’s last UK festival appearance was his Glastonbury Festival debut in June 2023, where he performed on the Pyramid Stage to over 100,000 fans.
