Tedeschi Trucks Band, the acclaimed blues-rock outfit fronted by the husband and wife team of Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks, will release Let Me Get By, their third album and first for Fantasy Records, on 29 January, 2016.
The album’s lead track is the infectious, groove-filled, six-minute ‘Anyhow,’ which you can listen to on the band’s website here, to stream via Soundcloud or to register for a free download — or via Spotify below. Produced by Trucks and recorded at Swamp Raga Studios, the band’s home studio in Jacksonville, Florida, the album is comprised entirely of material composed within the 12-piece band.
There will also be a two-disc deluxe edition of Let Me Go By featuring an eight-track bonus set of live material recorded at the Beacon Theatre in New York, as well as alternate mixes, early takes of songs and extra studio recordings. An expanded booklet in this edition will add exclusive studio and live images, in a vintage amp box design.
Trucks is now able to devote all of his time to the TTB after the disbandment last year of the Allman Brothers Band, of which he was a member for 15 years. “That’s what I hear in the music on this new album,” he says, “this feeling that we’re now putting 100% of what we have into this band, not going back to anything else, everyone giving it their all.”
The band are already out on tour dates that stretch way into next year, their next date being tomorrow (Tuesday 8) in Albany, NY. They have shows booked through early March, closing their US run with three nights at the famed Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, followed by concerts in Australia and Japan.
