John Williams’ ‘Jaws’ Soundtrack Set To Receive 50th Anniversary Pressing On Vinyl
The new edition features two unique designs celebrating the film’s bloody good time.

To mark its 50th anniversary, two special vinyl pressings have been made of John Williams’ soundtrack for the celebrated Steven Spielberg classic, Jaws.
The new editions are a “Blood in the Water” Blue + Red Splatter LP and a “Shark-Infested” Water-Filled LP. The latter is the perfect collector’s item for film and vinyl buffs alike, a limited-edition run that has real water sealed and pressed between two translucent vinyl discs, as well as new stereo mixes approved by Mr. Williams.
There are plenty of other celebrations happening to help mark this landmark film’s 50th anniversary. On July 5 at The Hollywood Bowl, Jaws is set to be performed in concert with the LA Phil, conducted by David Newman. The live symphony orchestra will perform the entire score in sync alongside the film being played.
Later in the summer at The Hollywood Bowl, there will be a three night run honoring John Williams, titled Maestro of the Movies: Celebrating the Music of John Williams. The performances, set for August 23 – 25, will include versions of his biggest film score hits alongside select clips projected onto the Bowl’s massive screens.
Lastly, from September 14 through July 26, 2026, “Jaws: The Exhibition” will be featured at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. According to the museum, “‘Jaws: The Exhibition’ is the first-ever exhibition of this scale at the Academy Museum, focused exclusively on a single film, and the largest mounted exhibition ever for Jaws, the Oscar-winning film from Universal Pictures. It celebrates the film’s 50th anniversary and revisits Jaws scene by scene, through original objects, behind-the-scenes revelations, and interactive moments. Curated with direct access to the collections from Steven Spielberg and The Amblin Hearth Archive, NBCUniversal Archives & Collections, and more, the exhibition dives deep into the film’s production history and explores its enduring impact.”
