Gap will spread the love this holiday season by donating $1 for every stream of the new track on Spotify, up to $100,000, to Baby2Baby – a nonprofit, long supported by Katy, that provides children living in poverty with all the basic necessities that every child deserves. Katy can also be seen in the Gap ‘All Together Now’ campaign.
“One of my first jobs when I was 16 was folding the fleece aisle at Gap in Santa Barbara,” she tells PEOPLE. “They would play this iconic playlist of musicians. My dream then was to make that Gap playlist — to make that Gap playlist was so cool, all the cool kids were on it. Little did I know that 20 years later, I would be starring in one of those iconic Gap commercials. It’s just such rite of passage. And I got to cover a Beatles song. It was a little bit of a bucket list moment.”
Earlier this year, Katy Perry, in collaboration with Theta Network, announced the launch of Katy Perry NFTs for her fans worldwide. The first digital collectibles of the collaboration will feature content from Katy’s upcoming “Play” residency at the brand new Resorts World Las Vegas hotel, beginning in December 2021.
