Macca, Metallica, Florence For Lollapalooza

Paul McCartney, Metallica and Florence + the Machine will headline the 2015 Lollapalooza Festival in late July/early August.

The major annual event in Grant Park, Chicago will feature some 130 acts, and McCartney’s performance on Friday, July 31 will be his first Lollapalooza appearance. Other acts on the bill on that opening day include The Weeknd, Alabama Shakes, alt-J, Gary Clark Jr, First Aid Kit, Hot Chip, Father John Misty, James Bay, The War On Drugs, Cold War Kids, Philip Selway and St. Paul and the Broken Bones.

Saturday, August 1 will be headlined by Metallica, making their first Lollapalooza appearance since 1996. Sam Smith will also appear on that middle day, as will Tame Impala, Alesso, Sturgill Simpson, Charli XCX, Django Django, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Tyler, The Creator and many others.

The closing day, August 2, has Florence + the Machine headlining a bill that also includes Bassnectar, Of Monsters and Men, TV On The Radio, Marina and the Diamonds, fka Twigs, George Ezra, Stromae and more.
