Avicii has recruited Jon Bon Jovi among the guest contributors to his next album. The Swedish superstar DJ, born Tim Bergling, is making the follow-up to last year’s highly successful ‘True’ in Los Angeles, and Rolling Stone reports that Bon Jovi is one of an impressive list of collaborators that also includes Chris Martin of Coldplay, Seri Tankian of System of a Down, Wyclef Jean and Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day.

Avicii has been working on some 70 tracks for the project, which is due out later this year. He tells the magazine that the new album will be somewhat different from ‘True,’ which topped the charts in Scandinavia, Australia and elsewhere and included such hits as ‘Wake Me Up,’ ‘You Make Me’ and ‘Hey Brother.’ “It’s going to be a lot more song-oriented,” he says of the new album. “‘True’ was an attempt at that, getting electronic music in a song format.”
