GloRilla Shares New Video for ‘Typa’
The visual co-stars Carolina Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette and R&B icon Keyshia Cole, whose 2005 track ‘Love’ is sampled in the song.

GloRilla has shared a music video for “Typa.” Directed by Benny Boom, the visual co-stars R&B icon Keyshia Cole and Carolina Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette, who plays Glo’s partner. As GloRilla and Legette channel Bonnie and Clyde, Cole appears to chat with Glo about romance over some mimosas. “Typa” samples Cole’s classic “Love” off her 2005 debut The Way It Is.
Already in 2025, GloRilla has had standout features on Lil Baby’s “Red Bone,” Teddy Swims’ “She Got It,” and GELO’s “Can You Please.”
The rapper’s debut studio album, Glorious, debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 in October 2024 and became the best-selling female rap album of 2024. Glorious features the hit singles “Whatchu Know About Me” featuring Sexyy Redd, “Hollon,” and “TGIF.” The album also features collaborations with Latto, Kirk Franklin, T-Pain, and more.
In April 2024, GloRilla released the 12 track mixtape Ehhthang, Ehhthang, which featured two inescapable hits, “Yeah Glo!” and “Wanna Be” with Megan Thee Stallion. Those songs went on to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, with each peaking at the Top 30. She also scored a Top 10 Hot 100 entry via Tyler, The Creator’s all-star anthem “Sticky.”
After a headlining tour and performances at Coachella and Dreamville fest, GloRilla will stay busy this summer. She performs at the 2025 BET Awards on June 9—Cole has also been confirmed as a performer—Hot 97’s Summer Jam on June 20, and the ESSENCE Festival of Culture in July. Later that month, on July 25, she will host her first annual Glo Bash in Memphis at FedExForum.
Earlier this year, GloRilla was honored with the Powerhouse Award at Billboard’s Women in Music gala. She also received the most nominations in the music and recording categories at the 56th NAACP Image Awards.
