Scissor Sisters’ Self-Titled Debut Gets Limited Edition Reissue
The reissue continues the celebration of the album’s 20th anniversary.

Scissor Sisters’ self-titled debut album is returning as a limited edition reissue. Originally released in 2004, the announcement continues the album’s 20th anniversary celebration.
The limited edition 20th anniversary package includes additional imagery and liner notes written by journalist Nick Levine. It also features hit singles “Laura,” their Grammy-nominated cover of Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb,” “Take Your Mama,” “Mary,” and “Filthy/Gorgeous” along with a handful of b-sides and rarities, including “Magnifique,” “Night Of The Comet,” and “Rock My Spot (Crevice Canyon).”
The 3CD also comes with a bonus remixes disc that includes “Take Your Mama (Hot Chip Remix),” “Filthy/Gorgeous (Martini Bros Remix),” “Comfortably Numb (Tommie Sunshine Remix),” and more.
The glam rock band Scissor Sisters formed in New York City in 2000 with vocalists Jake Shears and Ana Matronic, multi-instrumentalist Babydaddy, Del Marquis on lead guitar/bass, and drummers Paddy Boom and Randy Real. Scissors Sisters launched the band into international stardom—it was the UK’s best-selling album of 2004. Since its release, the album has sold nearly four million copies globally, has 300 million streams to date, and also won Best International Album at the 2005 BRIT Awards.
Last month, Scissor Sisters (whose current lineup includes Jake Shears, Babydaddy, and Del Marquis) announced their North American “The Tits Out Tour” with Kesha. Marking their first tour in over a decade, it kicks off on July 1 at West Valley City, UT’s Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre.
