HINDZ Celebrates Bob Marley’s ‘Uprising’ In New Video
The mindfulness educator has created a special video for the late reggae star’s official YouTube channel in honor of the album’s 45th anniversary

In honor of Bob Marley’s 80th birthday and the 45th anniversary of Uprising, the reggae star’s final studio album, HINDZ, an artist, storyteller, and mindfulness educator, has created a special video for the late artist’s official YouTube channel.
HINDZ shares his insights on spirituality, mental health, wellness, and self-discovery across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and through his podcast, In Hindzsight. He provides his viewers with a beautiful audio-visual experience that is both calming and insightful, often while drinking a cup of tea.
According to HINDZ, “Bob Marley wasn’t just music to me—he was a mentor in spirit. His words & energy helped shape the way I live, speak, and express.”
“What made this moment so meaningful was the chance to help honour Bob’s legacy—not just for the beautiful music he shared, but for the impact his messages have had on so many, including myself,” HINDZ says. “His music, message, and spirit have been a gentle force in my life.” “It was a full-circle moment for me—to contribute to something in his name, while also standing as a living example of someone his music has helped shaped. It was my way of showing what his influence looks like on us.”
Uprising has recently been reissued as a special, limited-edition “liquid sunshine”-filled vinyl housed in a die-cut sleeve. The 1980 record features fan favorites ‘Could You Be Loved,’ ‘Redemption Song,’ and ‘Forever Loving Jah.’ An exclusive merchandise campaign also celebrates the release through unique shirts, hoodies, and jackets.
Three days after the release of the album, Uprising Live! was recorded at Dortmund, Germany’s Westfalenhalle on June 13, 1980. The show was the 11th stop in a 34-date European summer tour schedule. On September 16, 1980, Bob Marley & The Wailers played a gig in Boston, intended to be the opening gig of a similarly extensive US itinerary. Marley collapsed while jogging in Central Park, having completed two shows at Madison Square Garden. His final live performance would be in Pittsburgh on September 23. Marley died of cancer on May 11, 1981, at age 36.
