Lady A Sets First-Ever Christmas Tour

Lady A is hitting the road just in time for the festive season. The “Need You Now” band announced plans for its first-ever Christmas tour, bringing some cheer to fans over the course of 12 nights. The This Winter’s Night Tour will bring their music to cities across the United States this December, including stops in Atlanta, Jacksonville, and Welch, Minnesota. The tour will culminate in three nights at Nashville’s iconic Ryman Auditorium. Tickets for the show go on-sale to the general public on Friday, July 18.

The news comes in tandem with the band’s second set of Christmas music. On September 26, Lady A will release On This Winter’s Night Vol. 2, nearly 13 years after their first volume of Christmas music of the same name. The new collection promises a mix of holiday classics as well as original compositions. The first volume introduced Lady A fans to their songs “Christmas Through Your Eyes” and, of course, “On This Winter’s Night.” In the intervening years, the band has been hard at work to bring their love of Christmas to fans new and old.

“We have been in such a season of family and that’s the first thing we think of when we think of Christmas and the Holiday Season,” lead vocalist Hillary Scott says in a press statement. “We hope this record and our first ever Christmas tour will be an opportunity for families and fans to usher in the Holiday Spirit with fun, joy and gratitude.”

With the news, the band also shared a cheeky video teasing the tour, recognizing the humor in announcing a Christmas tour during the hottest time of the year. After taking some liberties with the words to “‘Twas The Night Before Christmas,” the band jams out to “Walking In A Winter Wonderland” while sunbathing poolside. “While family and friends stayed swimming in their pools, Lady A couldn’t wait to be spreading tide’s yule,” Scott reads in the clip. In the end, the band drifts off to sleep, dreaming of their upcoming tour.
