Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre have released a short film for their collaborative album, Missionary. Directed by Dave Meyers, the visual reimagines the pair as crime-fighting vigilantes. As narrated by Method Man, the duo store their enemies in a freezer beneath the fictional Aftermath Lounge, where Jhené Aiko is performing the Missionary track “Gorgeous.” The video features a special appearance from 50 Cent and additional music by Swizz Beatz. Missionary is out now.

Missionary marks Snoop and Dr. Dre’s first full-length collaboration since Snoop’s 1993 debut album Doggystyle. “We [still] in love with what we do. I’m peaking right now and Dr. Dre see that,” says Snoop. “He brings the best out of me because he’s particular about everything I say, the way I deliver it, the fuckin’ music and the concept of the songs.”

The album, Snoop Dogg’s 20th, includes collaborations with BJ the Chicago Kid, Jhené Aiko, Sting, 50 Cent, Eminem, Method Man, and more. One standout track is “Last Dance With Mary Jane (Ft. Tom Petty and Jelly Roll), which samples from the original Petty song. “I have this video clip with Tom Petty saying ‘If Dre ever samples the song Mary Jane’s Last Dance, he’s going to have an instant hit on his hands,’” Dre told the Los Angeles Times. “It comes along with a massive amount of trust. And you know, Snoop’s putting his entire career and his legacy and everything that he’s built in my hands. So I have to really nurture that and make sure it’s presented in the right way.”

Recently, Snoop and Dr. Dre appeared in an ad for their Still G.I.N. drink alongside AI versions of Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. Also this year, the pair’s track “The Next Episode” joined Spotify’s exclusive “Billions Club.” It is the second song off Dre’s album 2001 to achieve the milestone, following “Still D.R.E.,” which also features Snoop.
